Mental health issues like stress and anxiety can also be covered as long as it can be proven that the health issue occurred as a result of work activities. Pre-existing injuries that become worse as a result of work activities can also be considered compensable.
Even injuries that occur during lunch can be covered as long as the injury occurs in the workplace cafeteria, and injuries related to alcohol consumption may be covered if the alcohol was made available at a work event, like a holiday party.

Proving an injury is related to work is not always easy, and even when the injury arises as a result of an obviously work-related accident, many insurers limit claims benefit long before they’re legally exhausted.
